HW #3

 I'd just like to say I loved the pieces of Dave Perillo they showed I really enjoyed his use of color. I related to when he said sometimes he sketches his ideas first but sometimes he feels inspired and jumps right into the project. I try my hardest to plan out ideas and sketch them out but much more enjoy jumping straight into a project. This article is very motivating hearing how Dave Perillo loves what he does and how his love for it just started through cartoons.What really got me thinking was near the end when he started talking about as an artist you have to find your own style and be unique. I have yet to fine my style but hope through experimenting with many different ideas it finds me.

HW #2

    Everything we see around us is design and this Ted Talk explained this perfectly. She slowly went through multiple things and how each related to design. The most interesting part for me was the gas masks. The way designers are trying to innovate them to be more comfortable so that people can have some simple pleasures while wearing them like a refreshing sip of soda. She was trying to say that designers are here to look at things in a creative way, whatever that something may be. Their work can be any where from gas mask to high end fashion and everything in between. We should constantly be looked at how we cant make things better and more functional. Just because something isn't broken doesn't mean it can't be better.
